My Prana pants have had those pills in the crotch since about a month after I bought them around 2 years ago. I wash them regularly. I wear them to work in a business casual environment, hike in them, play with the dog... I've even worn them to a wedding. A couple of days ago, I fell down some steps onto a rough concrete sidewalk, sliding on my hands and knees. My hands were pouring blood, but my knees and pants were perfectly fine. Freaking great pants.
