I hate Crocs as everyday wear, but I've come to love them as slippers. I'm good with the Crocs by themselves most of the time, but I can put on comfy socks if it's really cold. They're easy to wash. They keep going even when you think they're about to die.

I would second Haflinger. I'm on my second pair of "AT" slippers (similar to the clogs, boiled wool upper, but rubber sole). Super comfortable. My first pair lasted me probably 10 years, I have 2-3 years on my current pair with basically no signs of wear.
